HOLTERMANN INDEX

The Holtermann Index is based on ingredients used for the Atlantic Salmon feed production world wide. It is a composite of marine oils, marine proteins, vegetable oils and vegetable proteins. The index started in 2001 upon request from clients producing salmon feed. The aim is to have an unbiased reference on the raw material costs as a benchmarking for the purchasing performance. Over the year this reference has developed, and is now established for pricing of frame contracts on feed.

The Index is not published, but is conveyed to our regular clients. There are many companies trading on basis of the Index, thus making it highly relevant to the value chain of salmon production.

All figures and ingredients used in the Index are based on qualities and requirements purchased by the aqua feed producers.
